SensationALL relies on volunteers in a variety of roles, some attend every week while others help out occasionally. No matter how great or little, the input of our volunteers cannot be underestimated or undervalued and we are extremely grateful.
Volunteering will help you to meet new people, gain confidence, develop your skill set and improve your employability. You don’t need to have previous experience in MSN to make a difference to SensationALL as all training and support is given. In the words of one of our most frequent volunteers:
“volunteering is good for the soul!”
Volunteering at the Old Schoolhouse:
If you volunteer at one of our group sessions you’ll be helping our service users with activities (baking, crafts and music) and being a vital ‘extra pair of hands’ for our staff.
For all volunteers working within our service groups we are required to carry out a personal criminal check through the PVG scheme
At this time all our volunteering spaces are filled for services – we do however still invite you to register but please be advised we may not be able to offer you volunteering experiences immediately.
Our fundraising events are organised and run by a team of volunteers who generously give up their own time to raise much needed money for SensationALL. The committee is always open to new members and welcome new people at any point in the year.
If the organising events isn’t your thing then you can still get involved by volunteering to help on the day of events – selling raffle tickets, manning stalls, handing out information etc.
We are a very small team with only 10 paid staff, 3 of whom are tasked with running all the administrative and business elements of the charity therefore we welcome help with:
- Social Media
- General office admin
Several of our volunteers are still in education and get involved via youth award schemes like Duke of Edinburgh or Saltire Awards. We are keen to work with local schools and encourage their pupils to choose SensationALL for their Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) projects.
The value of volunteering for young people is endless but importantly at SensationALL, we guarantee it will be FUN!
Become a Trustee:
All charities are overseen by a board of volunteer trustees who will advise and steer the charity towards meeting it’s vision – if you are interested in joining our board please email us for a copy of our Trustee Information Pack.
