SensationALL relies on volunteers in a variety of roles, some attend every week while others help out occasionally. No matter how great or little, the input of our volunteers cannot be underestimated or undervalued and we are extremely grateful.

Volunteering will help you to meet new people, gain confidence, develop your skill set, and improve your employability. You don’t need to have previous experience in multiple support needs (MSN) as training and support will be given.

Volunteering Roles:

In our sessions and groups:

Help our service users during activities (baking, crafts, music etc.), cleaning/tidying up, making refreshments and, most importantly… you will be a vital ‘extra pair of hands’ for our staff!

For all volunteers working in our groups, we will organise a personal criminal check through the PVG scheme. This is free of charge and our Volunteer Coordinator will guide you through the application during your induction.

Events & Fundraising:

Throughout the year, we hold fundraising events when we often need volunteers to help with a variety of things such as selling raffles, manning stalls or serving refreshments. You can also help us plan and run events so this could be great experience for budding event organisers.

Or can you organise your own fundraiser for us?! We are a small team so appreciate all the help we can get with raising much-need funds. The money raised will go towards funding our services which are vital to those we support. There is more fundraising information here.

Corporate Social Responsibility Days

Your company can come onsite to the Old Schoolhouse for a CSR activity day – jobs are usually maintenance based such as painting, gardening, tidying, etc. You’ll be helping us complete tasks that our small team simply doesn’t have the time to do on our own.

Young Volunteers:

Several of our volunteers are still in education and get involved via youth award schemes like Duke of Edinburgh or Saltire Awards. We are keen to work with local schools and encourage their pupils to choose SensationALL for their Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) projects.

The benefits of volunteering are endless for young people but we also guarantee it will be FUN!
