SensationALL relies on volunteers in a variety of roles, some attend every week while others help out occasionally. No matter how great or little, the input of our volunteers cannot be underestimated or undervalued and we are extremely grateful.

Volunteering will help you to meet new people, gain confidence, develop your skill set and improve your employability. You don’t need to have previous experience in multiple support needs (MSN) as training and support will be given.  In the words of one of our most frequent volunteers:

“volunteering is good for the soul!”

Volunteering Roles:

In our groups:

Volunteering in our group sessions involves helping our service users with activities (baking, crafts and music), cleaning/tidying up, making refreshments and most importantly… being a vital ‘extra pair of hands’ for our staff!

For all volunteers working in our groups we will organise a personal criminal check through the PVG scheme. This is free of charge and our Volunteer Coordinator will guide you through the application during your induction.

Our fundraising events are organised and run by a team of volunteers who generously give up their own time to raise much needed money for SensationALL. The committee is always open to new members and welcome new people at any point in the year.

If the organising events isn’t your thing then you can still get involved by volunteering to help on the day of events – selling raffle tickets, manning stalls, handing out information etc.

Corporate Social Responsibility Days

Your company can come onsite to the Old Schoolhouse for a CSR activity day – jobs are usually maintenance based such as painting, gardening, tidying etc. You’ll be helping us complete tasks that our small team simply don’t have the time or often the resources to do on our own.

Charity Support:

We are a very small team with only 8 part-time staff, therefore we do appreciate help with:

  • IT
  • Marketing/PR
  • Social Media
  • General office admin
Young Volunteers:

Several of our volunteers are still in education and get involved via youth award schemes like Duke of Edinburgh or Saltire Awards. We are keen to work with local schools and encourage their pupils to choose SensationALL for their Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) projects.

The benefits of volunteering are endless for young people but we also guarantee it will be FUN!

Become a Trustee:

Our charity is overseen by a board of volunteer trustees who advise and steer SensationALL towards achieving our vision. If you feel you have skills that could benefit us and are interested in joining the board please request a copy of our Trustee Information Pack.
